Prize winning composition for solo piano “Snowfall”

Mari Kotskyy often gets musical inspirations from the nature, especially the landscapes of her hometown, Hokkaido, an island in the northernmost Japan. There is a lot of snow every winter. The scenery of snow falling quietly is incredibly beautiful. However, the weather tends to change to a blinding snowstorm, unexpectedly. This piece represents the beauty and abrupt roughness of winter weather.
