Ronnie Wood Portrait to Save the Elephants

Hannah Shergold is set to unveil her sixth solo exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London, showcasing a collection of 30 pieces inspired by wildlife from around the globe, with a portrait of rock legend Ronnie Wood as the centerpiece. The exhibition, launching on 30th September 2025, will be open to the public until October 4th, and already, the 2025 Collection has generated considerable interest from collectors, with several pieces reserved ahead of the public opening.

As a self-representing artist, Shergold has always used her platform to raise awareness and support various charitable causes. To date, her efforts have helped organizations such as Invictus Games, Born Free, and WWF, and she has raised over £370,000 through donations from sales. Shergold is committed to donating at least 10% of each sale to charity, a practice she strongly believes in:

“It’s not just enough to make a living through painting. For me, the art must give something back.”

A Collaboration with Ronnie Wood

Shergold’s partnership with Ronnie Wood is a standout feature of this exhibition. Wood, a longstanding ambassador for the Tusk Trust, has sat for a series of private sittings with Shergold over the past year, leading to the creation of the portrait that will serve as the heart of this year’s fundraising efforts. This portrait will be unveiled at the private view and marks Shergold’s expanding exploration of portraiture. Her previous works include portraits of Sir David Attenborough, Lieutenant General Sir Tyrone Urch, Ashley Walters, and Emeli Sandé.

Shergold shares, “This body of work is extremely personal to me. I feel it represents a move forward, not only from an artistic point of view, but I feel more centred and confident. Working with Ronnie has truly been a highlight, and his grace and patience have been inspiring. Our shared passion for conservation has made this piece and the collection one of my proudest moments.”

Supporting Conservation with Tusk Trust

The exhibition is as much about Shergold’s new body of work as it is about continuing support for Tusk Trust, a conservation charity she has been deeply involved with since becoming an ambassador in 2022. Shergold’s involvement in Tusk’s initiatives has raised over £250,000 through efforts like The Lion Trail 2021, The Gorilla Trail 2023, and The Turtle Trail.

In addition to the portrait of Ronnie Wood, two special additions from the Turtle Trail will be displayed. These works are a collaboration between Shergold and Wood, and will be part of a fundraising initiative for the charity, where painted turtles will be auctioned off in 2025 to benefit Tusk’s conservation projects.
